Mark 2:17 “It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick; I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”

Pride blocks off the ability for Christ, through the Holy Spirit, to use you. In fact, the Jewish church, at the time of Christ, were so filled with righteous pride, that they killed Christ. So, think of why you do not love Christ and follow Christ. Do you understand what this darkness does, as you are rooted in self? So self-rooted in pride causes you to be content. However, you rooted in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit, allows you to identify with the Light and be a light to those around you. So, praise the Lord as you grow in this realization.
